In Japan, the public bath built on the hostel street from Edo period. The pubic bath called “Sento”. We needed it for relaxation and communication apace at downtown in Showa period.

Almost cheaper apartment did not have private lavatory and bathroom in Showa period (20-30 years ago). That’s why people usage bigger public bath.

It was our nostalgic remember…

Recently, Japanese having very clean bathroom in their house. Only Yakuza and blue colors using that Sento. Sometimes you can see beautiful Japanese tattoo on their whole back at Sento if you lucky. When you should praise their tattoo if you find Yakuza. They will glad if you praise.

Almost Sento have ELECTRIC bath you know??
You can enjoy weak electric shock in that bath.
Become good condition if you into the electric bath.
You can enjoy more variety hot water.
The sauna, cold water bath, Chinese medicine bath…
Any Sento have beautiful mosaic tile art on the wall.
You can see Fuji mountain view from inside the bathtub.

The entrance fee is JPY400 recently.
(sometimes going up the fee)
